2023 Domaine de l'Aste Santenay Blanc 750Ml Bottle

This is the first time we have been able to get some white from David, although I taste it each year and buy a few for drinking in Burgundy. It's a style not unlike a Savigny les Beaune, not as lean and tight as a Chablis, but not as big and rich as its neighbour, Chassagne, to the north. There is no new oak here, and this has a nice "doughy" yeast-lees complexity, lime, lemongrass and grapefruit freshness and some nice body too. It's really impressive for this price.
